About Us

Our journey developing services for genomic research

Founding the Lab

Founded in 2016, The Sequencing Center began with a bold vision: to revolutionize whole genome sequencing by making it faster and more affordable than ever before. Our small team of passionate scientists and technologists set out to break down the barriers that had long kept this powerful technology out of reach for many researchers and clinicians.

Specializing in HLA Typing

Due to a growing demand, in 2019 we focused our business model to specialize in HLA typing for genomic-driven immunology research, identifying this as an underserved market where we could provide significant support and value. This strategic shift allowed us to dive deep into a critical area of study, supporting groundbreaking research in transplant medicine, autoimmune disorders, and cancer immunotherapy.

AI-Driven Software for Clinical Decision Support

Our journey of innovation didn’t stop there. In 2023, we recognized a pivotal moment in healthcare: the growing need for sophisticated, AI-driven genomic analysis tools in clinical settings. We made the bold decision to step away from in-lab operations and focus our expertise on developing cutting-edge software for clinical decision support systems.

Today, The Sequencing Center stands at the forefront of the genomic revolution in healthcare. We are building AI-driven software to empower clinicians to harness the full potential of genomic data, translating complex information into actionable insights that drive personalized patient care. By bridging the gap between raw genomic data and clinical decision-making, we’re not just analyzing genomes – we’re shaping the future of precision medicine. Our journey from a sequencing lab to a leader in genomic software solutions reflects our unwavering commitment to innovation and our belief in the transformative power of genomics in healthcare.

At The Sequencing Center, we are a team of visionaries, scientists, and technologists united by a single mission: to unlock the life-changing potential of the human genome, one line of code at a time.
